NEIGHBORHOOD GUIDE / SCOTT’S ADDITION

Scott’s Addition works when you stop crossing town

The district’s advantage is optionality within a compact area. Use that to remove travel, not to create a six-stop crawl before the game.

What the neighborhood source actually says

Visit Richmond presents Scott’s Addition as a dense craft-beverage and entertainment district. That supports a logistics claim: there are multiple nightlife options in the area. It does not support a broadcast claim about every venue.

For match night, Switch RVA therefore separates the neighborhood layer from the viewing layer. First choose the area because the route works; then use a venue profile whose sports-viewing evidence is specific enough for your group.

Evidence boundaryNeighborhood guide = density and context. Venue profile = address/product. Exact feed and sound = day-of verification.

Two verified viewing patterns

Wood + Iron’s official locations page lists a Scott’s Addition address at 1405 Roseneath Rd. Parlay’s official pages describe a sports-focused lounge at 3117 West Leigh Street and document reserved Game Day Bays with dedicated TVs.

Those facts create two planning patterns: a conventional game-day restaurant/bar anchor or a reservation product with more explicit screen control. They are not interchangeable, and neither removes the need to confirm the exact game and audio.

Exit decision

Either stay local for one postgame stop or start the pre-checked route home.

GRTC Pulse includes a Scott’s Addition station, but station presence is only a starting point. Check the actual walking path, direction and late frequency for your destination before relying on it after a delayed game.

Pick the viewing anchor before the brewery

Scott’s Addition has enough food, drink and entertainment options that it is easy to start the night without deciding where the actual game will be watched. Reverse the order. Confirm the viewing room first, then choose a pregame stop within an easy walk or short ride.

Use Broad Street as the transport spine

GRTC Pulse has Scott’s Addition stations on Broad Street. That does not make every venue equally convenient, but it gives the district a clear public-transit reference point. Check the direction and late frequency for your destination before the game starts.

For screen control, compare the published Game Day Bay setup at Parlay. For a conventional sports-bar stop within the district, Wood + Iron’s Scott’s Addition location is another anchor to verify for the exact fixture.
