GAME-TIME CHECKLIST / PRINTABLE

Six checks before the door closes

A match-night plan should survive one last review in under five minutes. If an important detail is still unconfirmed, resolve it before leaving—not in the rideshare.

The six checks

  • Match: opponent, date and local start time match the official source.
  • Broadcast: the venue or organizer confirms the exact fixture, not just the league.
  • Room: sound, sightline and screen priority are acceptable or marked for a same-day check.
  • Reservation: name, group size, arrival window and time limits are understood.
  • Ride home: primary route and fallback are funded and still operate after a late finish.
  • Betting: optional amount and stop conditions are set before arrival.

If all six are green, stop searching and enjoy the night. The checklist is designed to prevent late uncertainty from turning into endless pregame browsing.

The faster a fact changes, the less value there is in a beautifully written month-old paragraph. Use the latest source that can actually confirm it.

Print or send one line

For a group, compress the answer to: 7:00 ET / venue confirmed / audio yes / table for six confirmed / arrive 5:45 / Pulse primary, rideshare fallback / no betting plan.

That one line gives everyone the same plan and makes it obvious what has already been confirmed.

Do the six checks in the right order

Start with kickoff and the exact broadcast. There is no point reserving the perfect table for a game the venue cannot receive. Next confirm the room—screen, audio and seats—then the arrival rule, then the ride home. The last check is simply the day-of update from the venue or organizer.

Screenshot less; link more

A screenshot freezes the moment it was taken. For future events, keep the organizer or venue link in the group chat so somebody can reopen it on the day. That is especially useful when a league changes a start time or a supporters group posts a new arrival note.

The checklist should take minutes. If it turns into a long search, simplify the night: one venue, one game, one exit plan.
